On Friday, 01 September 2023, we started our apprenticeships or studies at Sikla GmbH in Villingen-Schwenningen.
The onboarding week was initiated by a round of introductions and a presentation on the company history.
Afterwards, we had a barbecue with the new employees and the young talents to get to know each other better.

On Monday we continued with presentations of the various departments, where we were introduced to our daily work and our areas of responsibility.
Our training manager, Ms Natascha Strupinski, took us on a tour and familiarised us with the staff and the premises.
In the afternoon, after a walk together, Mr Robert Skorupski introduced us to the BIM (Building Information Modelling) working methodology.
On Tuesday we continued with a role play of the headquarters, in which we were introduced to how a product life cycle runs at Sikla GmbH and how the respective departments communicate with each other in order to bring a high-quality product to the market for our customers. In the afternoon we could try on the new Sikla Work-Ware.
The next day we participated in a comprehensive product training by Mr. Robin Ulrich, from our second location in Hagen.
We were trained in the best way about the products of Sikla GmbH and we could practice our learned knowledge on the test products right away.
At the end of the training, we took a short test on our freshly learned knowledge.

E-Crosskart Tour through Rötenbach and the surrounding area.
On Thursday, we continued with a team-building session in which all Sikla's young talents took part.
We drove to an e-cross kart station in Rötenbach, where we drove with electronic kettcars.
Our goal was to find a treasure in the forest together. In the evening, we had a good meal and talked and laughed a lot.
Towards the end of the week, we went through the warehouse.The aim behind this is to get to know the processes and products.

We are looking forward to our time at Sikla and can't wait to start in our respective departments and become part of the great Sikla team!
